Guided Hill Walking and Mountain Skills Training

James Orpwood Mountaineering provides guided summer hill walking, guided winter hill walking, a range of navigation and hill skills courses, and winter skills courses for individuals and small groups in Scotland, from the Cairngorms to Ben Nevis and beyond.

Whether you want to climb your first Munro, tick off a classic round of Munros, tackle a Cairngorms giant in the depths of winter, climb Ben Nevis, learn or brush up on your navigation skills, learn the essential skills to keep you safe in winter, enjoy a few days in the hills, or even take a low-level walk to spot some local wildlife and take in some natural history and culture, we have something for you.

We are proud to support and promote the products and ethos of Kendal-based outdoor gear manufacturer Summiteer.
